Meals inspired by the rich essence of Kerala are easy to come by. But, a restaurant that captures the spirit of Kerala and delivers it in every meal is a rarity. A gem that accomplished
both of those things and more is Kappa Chakka Kandhari.
Rooted in tradition, Kappa Chakka Kandhari pays homage to the simple, evocative food cooked with love by mothers in the God’s own land of Kerala. It comes as no surprise that KCK has been
ranked 23 among India’s Top 50 restaurants by Conde Nast Traveller.
Objective
Kappa Chakka Kandhari approached us as a well-established brand. Our mission was to add value and shed light on areas that were going under-recognized. We sought to create and then portray the ideal message for the brand while keeping in mind the enormous potential of the brand. Other main priorities included streamlining corporate processes and developing more customer-centered tactics.
Evaluating KCK at its Core
Initial assessments of KCK identified business areas with room for expansion and change. Our first goal was to streamline processes and develop tactics that would best utilize the brand's tremendous potential.
We could identify inconsistencies in the brand's digital representation, gaps in customer engagement, and under-utilization of the brand's pre-existing resource base.
Crafting the Perfect Solution
After initialization of the missing gaps in KCK’s business strategy, crafting a perfect solution with all specificities considered was the next step.
An intensive market evaluation of current marketing trends done by our team revealed exactly what needed to be done and the factors to be avoided. Saturation is an ever-present problem in the market. Avoiding saturated techniques and creating a unique, fully customized solution was at the forefront of our list.
Leveraging Festivities
As KCK is a restaurant that offers truly authentic Kerala cuisine, leveraging the approaching traditional festival of Onam was the necessary first step in the right direction.
By projecting precisely what the festival of Onam is all about, the diversity in the dishes consumed during the festival, and communicating the importance of preserving authenticity of flavours during the preparation of said dishes, Onam was a huge success for KCK, with thousands of customers blissfully enjoying their Sadhyas.
In addition, we made sure that the restaurant's operations both offline and online were as smooth sailing as the greatest sailboat. The belief that every customer deserves to experience a hearty meal and not just consume it, kept us moving forward.
The grand success of the festival of Onam filled us with ideas to further expand the impact KCK could make with Christmas right on tow.
The Seafood Festival
Being a prominent coastal state, seafood has an incomparable place in every Keralite's palate. KCK is home to culinary masters that capture seafood's essence in the most absolutely authentic and delectable manner imaginable.
The KCK Seafood Festival was created by fusing seafood dishes with the celebratory spirit of the Malayalee folk.
